The Apples of New York Volume II

Over 700 named and unnamed varieties of apples and crabapples were known to exist around 1900. A number of these arose from Old World introductions dating back almost 300 years prior. Through the tireless work of Professor Emmet S. Goff, the first New York Agricultural Experiment Station horticulturist, and his successor Professor Spencer A. Beach (1891), a substantial database of New York apple varieties in existence in 1903 appear within The Apples of New York, Volumes I & II.
