Prayer: What's the Big Deal?

I was always taught to fear God. I remember times when I was a child, that I would pray fearfully thinking that by not praying correctly God would get angry at me. In His anger He might even take me out. I realize today that God does not deal with us in that way. God is love! He doesn't want to hurt us. He is like a good earthly father that only wants the best for his children. He isn't going to hurt you if you don't pray correctly. There is no such thing as a bad prayer. Prayer is communication with God our Father. It is a way for us to know and understand Him and for us to make petition and intercessions for our needs or the needs of others.
