Hopkinton through Poetry: Celebrating 300 years
By: Cynthia Franca & Cheryl Perreault
Hopkinton through Poetry: Celebrating 300 years, Hopkinton, Massachusetts is a multigenerational poetic anthology dedicated to the town, as part of the Hopkinton 300th Anniversary Celebration. Hopkinton residents Cheryl Perreault and Cynthia Franca invited the community to ponder, give tribute and write poetry about town for an exciting anthology project. This anthology consists of poetry written by residents and friends of Hopkinton that celebrates Hopkinton's past, embraces its present and inspires its future; capturing in poems what people love about the town of Hopkinton, whether it be about the natural beauty of its ponds, lakes, trails and parks, the people and sense of community, historical events, town celebrations, etc. This project not only offers Hopkinton its first anthology of poetry specifically about the town, but is also a gift to the town and its people by the contributors and the people who purchase the book. All proceeds will be divided and donated to three local Hopkinton organizations offering services to community including The Michael Lisnow Respite Center, Serenity House and Project Just Because.
