General McClellan

General George B. McClellan was a Union general during the Civil War. He was an engineer and meticulous planner, and played an important role in raising and organizing the Union army at the start of the war. However, these same skills also hampered his battlefield decision making. He frequently over estimated the enemy's strength and was often reluctant to engage the enemy fully.
