An Autobiography of Herbert Spencer Volume II

Herbert Spencer was an English philosopher, psychologist, biologist, anthropologist and sociologist famous for his hypothesis of social Darwinism. He coined the phrase "survival of the fittest."

Volume II of II is published as it was left by Mr. Spencer, with only a few modifications being made by his trustees with respect to the break in the two volumes. Volume I ends with the termination of his miscellaneous work, and the second volume begins with the planning of the Synthetic Philosophy.
